I liked the original model a lot, but didn't want the phone supported solely on the lightening cable, so I extended supports in the back for it to rest against. It is calibrated for an iPhone 5 + case. (it extends about 5/16 of an inch behind the connector. (the part that plugs into the phone, not the plug body)

Also note that the plug is not sitting down as far as it could. (since the phone has a case) Thank you hot glue.

Finally, I had to widen the channel a bit to get the cable in with a screw driver and some sandpaper. (this may be b/c of the non apple cable I used)
