“数字化社会创新” 江南大学第五届 DESIS国际研讨会会议通知

 

近年来，关于社会创新的议题在国内外逐渐传播开来，并且成为设计界的热门话题之一。这一方面得益于国际社会创新与可持续设计（DESIS）联盟等学术组织的推广，另一方面，也是反映了新的时代背景下产业和社会发展对设计提出的新的要求。在国内，DESIS中国联盟的院校在此方面做了一些探索，举办了一系列的交流活动，学术界对该领域的关注度持续提升。然而，这个新兴领域的探索刚刚开始，迫切需要更多的交流与合作来形成基本的学术共识以及学术圈，以推动该领域的发展。

 

为此，在DESIS联盟和Cumulus联盟的支持下，自2010年以来，江南大学牵头的年度DESIS国际研讨会已经连续举办四届，成为该议题国内外重要的研讨平台。2014年，江南大学、江苏省工业设计学会、江南大学产品创意与文化研究中心共同组织“数字化社会创新”2014第四届江南大学DESIS国际研讨会，该研讨会同时作为“设计教育再设计”国际会议框架下“服务设计与社会创新”全国性课题组的活动之一。

 

随着数字化技术的发展和互联网时代的到来，社会结构和现实条件的变化为个人、公众和社群表达自身诉求提供了新的社会环境。数字化技术和平台（从社交网络到数据传感器）如何改变社会创新的形式、结构和速度，成为相关领域普遍关注的议题。

 

数字网络应用成为当前公共网络的主要形式。然而，互联网社交网络和数字化服务在日常生活中的广泛应用从参与层面（限于线上发布的交互形式，并受弱化和分离的组织关系的影响）到实际的社会相关组织形式（在这一情况下，科技作为创新标准，社会团体通过运用科技手段来产生特定的、共享的和不断增加的社会价值）都存在巨大的差异。

 

设计学科在这一领域具有两个方面的关注点：首先，在社会创新层面将其作为设计实践的重要环境条件（通过公众参与、社区服务和可持续的目标导向）；其次，科技作为设计和交互行为产出的重要形式，为设计探讨提供了新的视角。

 

2014江南大学DESIS国际研讨会的主题将关注于“数字化社会创新”，尝试从更深层次发掘数字化技术在社群结构中的广泛应用所带来的结果和影响，探讨设计如何为社会创新实践提供良性支撑以及继续改善这种方式的可能性。研讨会将正式发布新的DESIS cluster（我们过去几年来一直致力于这方面的研究和探讨），目标在于将从业者和学者整合在一个开放的活动事件当中，基于数字化社会创新领域的试点研究、初步研究成果和未来规划进行交流和相互启发。

 

DESIS Symposium 2014: Digital Social Innovation

 

Nowadays, physical and digital contexts are more and more blended spaces where individuals, people and communities express themselves, and where social concerns arise and are being exploited. Questions about how the digital technologies and platforms (from Social Network to Data sensor) will change the form, structure, and speed of social innovation are arising as common research concerns. Nevertheless, the pervasiveness of social network in the Internet, and of digital services in the everyday life significantly vary from participative façade (interaction limited to the online publishing, and effect in the multiplication of weak and disengaged relationships), to actual social relevant forms of organizations and change (where the technology represents the innovation criteria, meaning that technologies are appropriated and used by communities for the generation of specific, shared, incremental social values).

 

Design discipline has a double interests in this domain, firstly on the side of Social innovation as a context for the design action (by public engagement, services for the communities, and sustainability orientation); secondly, from the point of view of technology as designed artifact, and as designed interactions.

 

The DESIS Symposium 2014 will focus on the Digital Social Innovation topic, by trying to exploit deeper the consequences of massive use of digital technology in within the communities, and discuss specifically how design is contributing, and how it could better contribute to the virtuous support to social innovation practice. The symposium will also represent the official kick-off of the new DESIS cluster we have been working for the past year; we aim to gather together practitioners and scholars in an open events of exchange and reflection upon pilot researches, preliminary findings, and future agendas for the digital social innovation studies.
